Job Overview

  • To provide a high standard of professional technical service on behalf of Mitie to the client contract. You will be responsible for the delivery and execution of the planned and reactive operational and maintenance tasks delivered by the Mitie engineering teams. In addition to provide support to specialist sub-contractors/service providers and to provide support with minor new works as necessary and proactive support to the FM team.


  • Main Duties
  • Ensure strict adherence to all processes and procedures; not limited to but including; completion of Company Documentation, Work Instructions, ISO Processes, COSHH Assessments, Risk Assessments and Method Statements on a daily basis or as instructed.

  • Carry out PPMs and reactive work as directed by the management team in liaision with the FM Coordination team.

  • Ensure all work carried out in completed within the required deadline as dictated by KPI measures and or the management team.

  • Proactively report any requirement for parts, materials or any issues with your work at the earliest opportunity.

  • Support and implement any requirements to ensure all aspects of safety are at, or better, than the needs of current legislation, company policy and best practise guides.

  • Ensure that you wear the correct Uniform and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and that it is in good servicable condition.

  • The safe removal of Waste in all it's forms. Plantrooms and work areas are clean, clear and tidy at all times.

  • Ensure all actions raised during Audits relating to all areas of responsibility are acted upon.

  • Completion of required documentation as specified in relevant standards and regulations.

  • Report any unsafe acts, incident, accidents immediately.

  • Support a safety culture and environment of operational excellence through continuous improvement and builds an accident -free culture.

  • Complete any training as required and directed by the management team by the required timeline.

  • Where your role requires you to communicate with the client or customer, do so in a professional manner that supports a positive impression of Mitie.

  • Comply with expected standards of behaviour, for example, respect for others and corporate values. Look to develop positive working relationships with your colleagues to support a wider one team approach.

  • Be flexible in your approach and help others if they need assistance where it is in your capability to do so.

    Must be of a Technical status and have a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience, ideally NICEIC 18th

  • Requires Government SC clearance or the ability to achieve this., Emergency First Aid

  • Able to communicate effectively

  • Able to write clearly and provide detailed notes

  • Ability to use handheld devices for receiving, updating and closing work orders

  • Confidence to work frequently at height following all necessary health and safety procedures this requires a good level of fitness to access the required areas by ladders.

  • Writing and following risk and method statements is required on a daily basis

  • Manual handling experience

  • Appreciation of industry safety standards and procedures

  • Experience of working within a customer focused environment.

  • Ability to read schematic and circuit diagrams

  • Willingness to undertake further training

  • Takes responsibilities for own actions
