Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and experienced multiskilled electrician to cover works on the Burnley manufacturing site. To be considered for this role, you must be self-motivated and able to liaise with both site management team and clients to carry out repairs and maintenance across site. This is a full time role working Monday to Thursday 7:30am until 4pm and Fridays 7:30am until 1:30pm. Your main responsibilities will include:
- To plan, inspect and carry out repairs or preventative maintenance as required and to respond to breakdowns in a timely fashion.
- Duties to include building fabric repairs, small plumbing, joinery as well as electrical works
- To help out the full maintenance team as required with any other facilities work
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with agreed specifications and in line with Health & Safety legislation.
- Provide quotations for any works recommended to site manager
- Ensure that the OCS safety image is reflected positively through your actions
- Take responsibility for ensuring that a safe system of work is followed prior to the commencement of the work activity
- Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose
- Ensure that work activities are properly carried out
- To assist the site manager and clients facilities team to ensure that the site is kept to the highest standards, to ensure all electrical works are completed, and to provide general handyman services including L8 across the site.
- Liaising with subcontractors, cleaners and security to ensure the facilities management of site is carried out effectively.
18th Edition Electrical Qualification - Previous experience in a similar role
- Good communication and IT literacy skills
- Good understanding of health and safety
- IPAF preferred
- UK Driving License preferred
