Full Job Description

  • Perform detailed inspections of electrical systems in aircraft landing gear assemblies.
  • Diagnose electrical faults or failures using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to determine root causes of issues.
  • Repair or replace faulty wiring, sensors, actuators, and other electrical components.
  • Calibrate and test electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance to extend the lifecycle of electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and modifications in compliance with MRO and regulatory documentation standards.
  • Update electrical schematics and technical manuals as necessary.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with aviation safety standards and regulations (e.g., EASA, FAA).
  • Adhere to company safety procedures and promote a safe working environment.
  • Work closely with other MRO technicians, engineers, and quality assurance teams.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians as required
  • AOG/On wing support if required

  • Diploma, 'A' Level or equivalent qualification in an electrical engineering subject would be desirable.
  • Aerospace apprenticeship would be desirable.
  • Math's and English GCSE A-C Grades equivalent.
  • Extensive experience within an Aerospace Engineering or equivalent environment.
  • Previous electrical background (Essential).
  • Good knowledge of wiring installation techniques and equipment.
  • A good understanding of SAP - (systems application and product).
  • Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the legislative and quality system requirements.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Self-motivated, assertive, and adaptable under pressure to meet delivery targets.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and a flexible approach to work.
  • Candidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestricted.
  • Must be willing to work shifts.
