Full Job Description

  • Comply with the Health & Safety Policy, ensuring own and others health and safety.
  • To be responsible for carrying out high quality repairs to the housing stock in accordance with customers requirements working on both occupied and empty homes as the need arises.
  • To liaise as necessary with other sections / trades to ensure implementation and completion of repairs and maintenance works.
  • To use any tools, machinery, equipment or hazardous substances in accordance with information and instruction provided.
  • To report any health and safety concerns or danger to line management as soon as practicable.
  • To participate in an out of hours standby rota.
  • Working at heights is a vital part of this role. You must be able to climb ladders and competently undertake the duties of an operative.
  • A van will be provided so a drivers licence is essential.

    Are you a qualified electrician, but not completed City & Guilds 2391 and / or AM2 Electrotechnical training? We can provide the training and additional qualification as part of the job., Driving Licence
  • AM2 National Electrotechnical training
  • C&G Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of electrical (2391 or BS2391 or equivalent)
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (Level 3 award in the requirements for electrical installations BS 7671 : 2018)
  • Relevant experience post qualification
  • Level 3 Electro technical studies C&G 2330 or 2357 or equivalent

    Starting at £35,875, your salary will increase to £37,875 when you have completed the above accreditation. Your salary will also increase by 4.
