Electrics Technician - Fixed Term

ATG Entertainment is proud to stand at the forefront of the live entertainment industry.

Our expertise and capabilities enable producers and other creatives to bring their visions to life and create unforgettable performances for audiences, presented in our landmark venues and delivered with exceptional hospitality. It is the passion of our teams, that cover every discipline across the live entertainment industry, that underpins our continuing strategic growth and success.

The Phoenix is a beautiful venue steeped in rich history; originally built on the site of an old musical hall called The Alcazar, it's been the home of serious drama, comedy and musicals for over 92 years. We have a neoclassical exterior and an interior designed in an Italianate style by Theodore Komisarjevsky. The theatre opened with the premiere of Private Lives featuring Noёl Coward in the cast, along with Gertrude Lawrence, Adrienne Allen and a young Laurence Olivier. One of the most outstanding successes for the venue to date was Willy Russell's 'Blood Brothers', which transferred from the Albery Theatre in late 1991 and became the venue's longest running show playing until 2012. The Phoenix is proud to be the West End home of the award-winning production 'Stranger Things: The First Shadow', which opened to great acclaim in November 2023. Since then, we have also operated a day-time cafe in the weekdays, that opens our contemporary foyer to the public.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled, and self-motivated individual to join the highly collaborative and friendly back of house team at the Phoenix Theatre as Electrics Technician.

The Electrics Technician will support the Deputy and Head of Electrics with the day-to-day running of the theatre from a technical perspective, working collaboratively with the venue Stage team, Technical and Buildings Manager, and venue management to ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the venue to a high standard. This includes assisting with regular building maintenance projects, assisting with the facilitation of visiting contractors, and helping to ensure the safe daily operation of the theatre in line with company Risk Management policy.

A good knowledge of technical theatre, venue electrics, and building maintenance are required for this role.

This position is Full Time, for a fixed term of 6 months. Please note regular evening and weekend work will be required.
