Full Job Description
Reporting to the Electronics Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out production activities including: wiring of harnesses, looms, cable assemblies, population of PCB's and manufacture of various electro-mechanical assemblies. Duties will include:
- Populate Printed Circuit Boards (PCB's), using through-hole and surface mounted component soldering
- Wiring of basic and complex harness, loom and cable assemblies
- To assemble electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Assemble prototype electronic, mechanical and wiring assemblies.
- The use of basic hand tools including cutters, pliers and crimp tools
- Participate in departmental daily layered accountability (DLA) meetings, to collate meaningful improvement metric data, and take lead in driving for improvements
- To carry out additional tasks as directed by Electronic Production Supervisor, Chargehand or Production Manager
- The use of Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement activates
A proven team player, you will have previous work experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate knowledge of production process to a high standard. You'll also have: - ESD awareness
- basic product knowledge
- knowledge / a certificate in IPC-610, IPC-620
- experience of continuous improvement tools e.g. Kaizen, 6S, Six Sigma and SOP's
- the ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- good practical skills
- good computer skills
- the ability to problem solve
- strong attention to detail
