The Team: This role sits within the Times Media CRM team, part of the wider Times Media Customer Team.. Whilst physical newspapers are still a key part of our business, driving digital subscriptions and audiences will be the key to future success. We are seeking a skilled Email HTML Developer to join our dynamic CRM team, focusing on the creation and maintenance of email templates. You will be responsible for coding HTML emails that align with our brand guidelines. Your primary focus will be on creating visually appealing, mobile-responsive and optimised email campaigns that drive engagement and conversion.

Your Role:

  • Develop HTML emails from design concepts, ensuring compatibility across various email clients and devices

  • Have a good understanding of email client constraints, browsers, and accessibility guidelines

  • Follow industry best practice guidelines, keep on top of the latest trends and make sure all templates and designs are responsive and maximised for mobile platforms

  • Conduct thorough testing of email templates across multiple email clients and devices to ensure quality and consistency. Address any issues related to rendering or functionality

  • Troubleshoot and resolve HTML/CSS issues to ensure flawless rendering across email clients

  • Have good time management skills, as you'll work on various email projects for multiple stakeholders simultaneously, To do this, we believe our employees must represent different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences.     Email Marketing experience is essential - minimum 3 years of work experience

  • Highly skilled in HTML/CSS coding

  • Experience with responsive design techniques and frameworks for email

  • Ability to troubleshoot rendering issues

  • Open to feedback and critique - you should be curious and excited to improve

  • Experience with Adobe Standard email platform (desirable)

  • Experience working with web-based apps like Figma and Miro

  • Experience of personalisation tools such as Moveable Ink (desirable)
