Full Job Description

A fantastic opportunity to join a creative and data-driven digital team, helping us to tell the story of Forestry England’s work in landscaping the nation’s forests for people, timber and wildlife.
Your role will develop compelling digital marketing content that encourages and inspires a love of the outdoors and a sense of adventure for all ages. You will primarily focus on engaging our customers through inspiring and innovative email marketing. Your role will be to ensure content meets user needs and drives conversions across the right channel - and at the right time.
As part of the national digital team, you will work as part of a wider group to deliver nationwide campaigns. You will also be supporting and guiding staff from across the organisation on the best use of digital communications channels and ensuring the use of Forestry England’s tone of voice and brand guidelines.
Role purpose
To increase support for the nation’s forests and sales of our products and services by delivering first-class digital communications for Forestry England – notably across email marketing.
To promote best practice in email marketing across Forestry England and work collaboratively to ensure content is aligned to wider priorities.
To work collaboratively with the wider organisation to create digital support for marketing and communication campaigns.
To ensure digital communications delivered are audience-focussed and aligned to the wider priorities.
Key work areas
+ Develop fresh, informative and high-quality content to drive continued engagement and loyalty across our email marketing channel.
+ Support the Digital Marketing Officer to consult on and deliver email marketing requirements from different business owners.
+ Assist the marketing team to create impactful email content to support key campaigns.
+ Support the creation and scheduling of emails, paying attention to detail and carrying out monthly reporting to evaluate progress.
+ Ensure email content is in line with brand guidelines, tone of voice, accessibility guidance and technical channel best practice.
+ Analyse and interpret email data, looking for ways to grow and improve our current channels and strategies.
+ Provide support to colleagues on the use of email and on the practical and operational elements of making best use of our digital communications channels.
+ Assist the Digital Marketing Officer with database management, including (but not limited to) working on fields, queries, consents, personalisation, dynamic content and segmentation.
+ Dip your toes into an exciting CRM project, where you will get hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud (Salesforce).
+ Support the wider digital team with projects across paid and organic social media, ads, influencer, website as and when help is needed., This vacancy is using Success Profiles (opens in a new window), and will assess your Behaviours, Experience and Technical skills.
This is a Fixed Term Appointment for 12 months with the possibility of extension or permanency but no guarantee.
