Full Job Description

  • Support Cinematics team by improving existing testing procedures and identifying requirements.

  • Verify features and systems daily and create feedback for the Team.

  • Execute and maintain test cases on assigned projects as well as ad-hoc testing on focused areas.

  • Act as first contact for QA support for tools used by the Cinematics team.

  • Act as liaison between Cinematics team and programming.

  • Compose regular progress updates and reports for leadership.

  • Create and maintain test levels and sequences to test new features and how they interact with the existing and new cinematic scenes.

  • Record playthrough videos of entire levels and each cinematic sequence with multiple story branches to confirm sequences trigger and look as intended.

    Demonstrable game production experience with advanced skills in identifying and isolating issues systemically to help with resolving problems quicker.

  • Experience with writing test cases and ownership of feature areas as well as a good knowledge of bug tracking tools such as Jira.

  • Ability to stay organized and motivated to meet specific deadlines.

  • Ability to effectively manage your time and task prioritization.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, always-changing work environment where adaptability is paramount.

  • Knowledge / usage of a game engine to be able to investigate and understand complex engine issues

  • Ability to connect effectively with your cross-disciplined team and other departments through great communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain testing documentation

  • Innovative approach to problem solving, with the highest attention to detail

    This role will focus on supporting the Cinematics team in their tasks to create set pieces within the single player campaign of Squadron 42. The successful person will be in charge of testing the tools used to create these pieces as well as providing feedback on the overall feel of the cinematics scenes. As the tester assigned to the team, your work will directly affect the quality of the scenes used in the final version of Squadron 42 in addition to being part of the narrative driven aspect of the title dealing with the branching story options.
