Full Job Description

The role is a new but critical link for internal and external clients to help develop the department of EME/Clinical Engineering to the next level of general asset maintenance. Within this new role is 1 vacancy (Band 5 (based at WPH) to assist in the service and maintenance of all low to medium risks devices with opportunities to develop and work as an effective part of the growing Eme Team. The overall concept is to develop dedicated professionals to support PPM and Repairs of the ~10,000 devices cross sites., The role is to provide the provision of a new service within EME/Clinical Engineering that will align medical device maintenance and meet new department strategic objectives. With the need to,

  • The role will allow the work as an essential link between the main Eme/Clinical Engineering section on all sites with the ability to be direct and support a team of apprentices along with identification and implementation of new systems initiatives.
  • The role will ensure that all medical device are maintained to the manufacturer's specific guidance but overall Corrective and Preventative Maintenance program of works are dealt with and actions ensuring safety and compliance throughout the whole trust.
  • The post holder will act as a conduit between the internal / external team members enhancing the working process between the trust internal and external stakeholders. They will combine all of the above to further develop and improve the EME/Clinical Engineering Department for ultimate lifetime management asset lifetime management with traceability as required by the various health regulatory bodies and manufacturers.
  • The Post Holder will form part of a multi-disciplined team whose role is to provide the best possible service to the Trust ensuring their contribution is beneficial to other departments within the Trust, as well as the Medical Electronics, to fulfil the Trust's overall objectives.
