Full Job Description

The Regional DC Director is responsible for driving best operational practice, technical support, quality assurance for the delivery of critical engineering services for multiple client account operations throughout EMEA. Major Responsibilities Responsible for overseeing deployment of engineering platforms, processes & procedures. Responsible for regional assurance and compliance programmes. Responsible for technical support to account teams. Responsible for supporting site teams during major incidents. Responsible for providing OEM engagement support to account teams Responsible for supporting building strategic partnerships Responsible for problem management Responsible to support business pursuits Goals - Support account to achieve zero unplanned downtime Goals - Support service delivery teams to meet financial targets Goals - Implement model programmes aligned with global product solutions, processes & procedures Goals - support accounts to deliver best in class services and service solutions The successful candidate for this role is expected to be a subject matter expert in all aspects of technical services and operations in Data Centres., Reporting directly to the Head of DC & CEM, with matrix relationship to the EMEA DC FM Services Lead.,

  • Support accounts in their drive to build self-delivery capabilities for service and financial betterment
  • Identify opportunities for accounts to drive savings via strategic relationships, alternative maintenance strategies.
  • Support the business in business growth opportunities
  • Identify / generate opportunities for the cross-sell of services with other business lines within JLL and clients.
  • Operations
  • Be responsible for driving due diligence, assurance & compliance programs.
  • Capable in performing major Incident Investigations
  • Support account transition and transformation projects.
  • Actively manage the professional development of any direct & matrix reports and support training of Operations Teams
  • Be responsible for driving a culture of digitisation using our technology systems.
  • Support client/account specific initiatives and best practice deployment.
  • Be responsible for understanding accounts application of Corrigo (JLL CMMS Platform) and for determining if the deployment and application meets best practice requirements.
  • Provide oversight of account risk management processes and annual capital investment planning
  • Client and Account Management
  • Be the single point of contact for internal escalation for the DC accounts business and where necessary, serve as a client interface.
  • Where required, manage relationships with key stakeholders in the client's organisation.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of client's business and key factors influencing their requirement for our services.
  • Represent Engineering in external networking forums and client functions
  • Contract Management
  • Ensure account engineering requirements are built into all engineering contracts.
  • Support the accounts for achievement of the key performance indicators, service levels and other measures on a problem management basis.
  • Ensure accounts have embedded change control process and incident reporting systems.
  • Ensure accounts have embedded engineering operations governance processes.
  • Other Responsibilities
  • Provide support to the JLL Solutions Teams in business pursuits
  • Act as an operational reference for JLL business pursuits
  • Where necessary, represent JLL critical operations in business pursuits
  • Demonstrate to the clients - Value engineering, Innovation & Global alignment
  • Enforce a zero tolerance to unsafe working practices.
  • Provide engineering transition excellence for the on-boarding of new client facilities, operations or businesses. The new operations to be aligned with the global operating model.
  • Transformation of existing operations to the target operating model.
  • Support research and development of innovative ideas to the group to maintain its competitive edge.
  • Evaluate, propose, and pilot appropriate tools/processes to support the engineering services operation.
  • Support initiatives that drive the capability of JLL to self-deliver services and reduce our reliance on partner organisations.
  • Ensure the engineering practices being deployed are compliant with legal and statutory requirements.

  • Additional Duties and Responsibilities Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Head of DC & CEM or EMEA DC FM Service Lead Key Performance Measures Support the account team where necessary in resolving problems with SLAs, KPIs, Savings Targets, Satisfaction Survey, and financial targets.

    The individual should be a self-starter, highly motivated, process driven and have strong risk management skills that can build a trusted advisor relationship with clients and our internal business leaders. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate: -
  • significant data centre experience
  • a proven track recorded across multiple geographies
  • Project management experience
  • proven track record in business pursuits
  • be a senior leader, but more than capable in dealing with critical equipment issues via escalation
  • Experience of dealing with all major DC OEM's
  • Strong DC network with Consultants and OEM's, Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent
  • Technically competent in Data Centre Systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Skilled in commercial aspects of engineering contracts.
