Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager, EMEA to join the DPC Team in Reading, Berskshire. The EMEA Logistics Manager plays a critical role in Starline's success by leading the strategic planning, execution, and continuous improvement of all logistics activities across the EMEA region. This role demands a deep understanding of international trade, customs regulations, and compliance requirements, combined with exceptional leadership and operational management skills. The EMEA Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end flow of goods, ensuring timely and cost-efficient delivery, while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer satisfaction.. What Will You Do?

  • Coordinate with partners to manage import /export activities to meet service level expectations, carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, performance evaluation and pricing.
  • Assist in managing shipment and custom activities for import and export services.
  • Establish relationships with vendors to identify and eliminate logistics obstacles to ensure safe and timely shipping of products.
  • Ensure that logistics systems and activities are following all relevant national and international import/export & customs legislation.
  • Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to maintain a robust trade compliance program.
  • Integrate logistics policy and procedures, collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems and or processes such as Sales, Production, Accounting, Finance and Shipping.
  • Point of contact for all HMRC-related enquiries and audits.
  • Ensure ''Archiving Trade Documents' are maintained according to local requirements.
  • Initiate, implement and maintain "Best Practices" with regards to regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Optimize transportation routes, modes, and schedules to minimize costs and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive regional logistics strategy aligned with Starline's business objectives, focusing on operational efficiency, cost optimization, and customer service excellence.
  • Maintain and update Master Data files with Commodity Codes / Schedule B and country of origin.
  • Provide Logistics budget for projects and sales.
  • Oversea GBR Supply Chain Routing guide within EMEA region.
  • Maintain and lead Starline registration in France and Switzerland.

    Must have expert knowledge of national and international import/export compliance requirements.
  • Must be able to effectively troubleshoot any issues that may arise in freight transportation.
  • Ability to use internal systems for extracting data, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced ability to conduct root cause analysis and effectively report on results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills will be required for cross-departmental communication, root cause activities and implementation of solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task managing multiple logistical concerns simultaneously.
  • Ability to use MS Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiently.
  • Strong understanding of lean principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in managing 3PL relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing transportation networks.
  • Proficiency in logistics management software, ERP systems, and data analysis & reporting tools (Power BI).
  • Solid understanding of Customs Procedures in EMEA region.
  • Practical knowledge of Finance in International Trade (e.g. Letters of Credit)
  • Good working knowledge of Temporary Exports & Imports, ATA Carnets and Incoterms., CILT (Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport) qualification preferred but not essential.
  • 5+ years - experience in international import/export processes.
  • 3+ years - experience in a leadership role.
  • Experienced with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • The performance of this position requires exposure to the manufacturing areas where, in certain areas, the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, glasses and mandatory hearing protection are required.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 20KG
