Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Emergency Nurse to join our team at NMGH Emergency Department.

We are looking for a forward thinking , motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our senior nursing team.

The successful applicant will be assisting in the leadership of the department and the co-ordination of high quality care within the clinical environment.

Patient safety and experience is of paramount importance. The band 7 team play a pivotal role in the delivery and monitoring this.

As part of the role you are expected to Lead and manage your own mentor team of staff within the department. This includes appraisals mandatory training compliance and ensuring a positive staff experience.

You will be expected to develop your scope of practice within local Trust guideline and policies. You will demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to care delivery and service improvement in order to work in this highly desirable area with a proactive multidisciplinary team., Within this role the post holder will be expected to assess patients, the care plans devised, and the implementation of the care. Provide advice and guidance to the multidisciplinary team and ensure all records and documentation are completed and relevant. The role involves managing staff, rotas, appraisals, recruitment and selection, resource control and budgetary management for the area. This role involves the overall 24-hour responsibility for the Ward/Dept./Unit and therefore will require enhanced communication skills in order to deal with the broad range of issues involved in the day to day management of the ward/dept/unit.
