Full Job Description

As the Emerging Talent and Social Value Manager at Skanska, you will lead our Emerging Talent programme in collaboration with HR, L&D, and Talent & Capability teams. Additionally, you will enhance Cementation's social value and community profile within the business, customers, and end users. All responsibilities must align with company values, policies, and OWOW procedures, including adherence to the Code of Conduct.   • Lead the OU ET agenda to develop and implement the strategy/ plan for Graduates, Trainees and Apprentices supporting managers to ensure smooth delivery of structured development programmes and placements.
  • Identify the learning and development interventions for each cohort
  • Identify and manage the relationships with Further Education facilities
  • Manage the Graduate population inc: performance, quarterly reviews, PDR's, rotations, pastoral care. Areas of responsibility include all graduate intake, Engineering, Commercial & any other areas.
  • Work with DE's and line managers to provide suitable placements to optimise learning and productivity
  • Laisie with the Central HR teams to co-ordinate the programmes
  • Identify best practice with Skanska and externally to continually improve the function
  • Manage Graduate and Apprentice recruitment activities on an annual basis in conjunction with Emerging Talent recruitment function.
  • Provide advice and support to the Leadership Team and Senior Managers in the social value, community and stakeholder engagement discipline to raise the profile within the OU, BU and clients.
  • Work with the Environmental Sustainability Manager, BSD's and PD's overseeing the delivery of the social value requirements and management of relationships with the community and other stakeholders.
  • Be the Social Value work winning lead for Cementation bids.
  • Work with other functional heads to ensure that social value, community and stakeholder engagement requirements are known, understood, and embedded across projects.

    Experience in HR and/or L&D
  • Excellent Leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal briefing/presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience
  • Strong understanding of relevant UK government legislation.
  • Experience on Stakeholder & Community management.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of social and community legislation, initiatives and policies.
  • Familiarity with I&D and Skills Employment and Education.
  • Flexibility to travel across all locations in the UK
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to coach line managers
  • Sound understanding of academic establishments and routes of study for all ET cohorts.
