Full Job Description

  • Work with Curriculum, Learning Support Practitioners and Specialist LSPs to raise the learning attainment of students who have an emotional and behavioural barrier to their learning.
  • Give support to students, individually or in groups, so they can manage their emotional wellbeing, take part in learning and
  • experience a sense of achievement.
  • To engage with the college's professional development and quality assurance processes in order to develop practice and
  • provide the highest standards of education and care for the college's young people.
  • To communicate effectively with parents, students, staff and colleagues and promote the wellbeing and safeguarding of all.

    Level 2 Maths & English qualification or equivalent.
  • Training in the field of SEND
  • Understanding of SEMH and how learning is developed and impacted.
  • Experience of delivering effective student support programs to promote positive behaviour.
  • Ability to write formally and accurately when producing reports and updating college records., All employment offers are made subject to checks in line with the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidelines. These include (some of which are dependent upon the role and the individual): enhanced DBS including children's barred list check, DfE teaching/management barred list check, on-line searches, overseas criminal record check, evidence of identity and right to work in the UK, satisfactory references, confirmation of medical fitness, evidence of relevant qualifications and a check of previous employment history.
  • You will be required to become familiar with College's policies and comply with the requirements to safeguard and protect the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults. All staff are asked to complete mandatory training on KCSIE and other key areas, and to read the relevant policies.

    You will join us on a term-time only basis (38 weeks per year), and in return, we will offer a competitive salary of £26,232 - £27,652 per annum incl. London Weighting (to be pro rata'd to contracted hours, 38wpy).,
