Full Job Description

Key principles of the role is to give identified students the appropriate support and interventions to make long term adjustments to their engagement with learning. Tasks include:

  • Work collaboratively with the wider pastoral team supporting the learning and progress of students

  • Assist students to understand how they can support their own emotional wellbeing

  • Promoting positive behaviour and help students to make positive choices in their education

  • Work with teachers about the specific needs of students and how they can be effectively supported in the classroom


  • You will be an empathetic, supportive communicator, able to quickly establish and maintain positive yet professional relationships with students and colleagues. You will be able to create strong routines, boundaries and relationships allowing students to flourish from a point of adversity.

    This permanent post is part time, 30 hours per week, term time only (no inset days), however we are open to applicants seeking flexibility of hours and days so please get in touch. The salary for 30 hours will be £17,610 per annum (which is Grade 5, pro rata).
