Full Job Description

As our student numbers increase and we continue to diversify our programmes and portfolio, we are looking to recruit an Employability Assistant to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. Working from our Leeds and Sheffield campuses you will be responsible for supporting the administration of the Careers team and Pro Bono service.

Our Employability Service brings together the Careers and Pro Bono teams to provide our students and alumni with high quality information and advice about their career, alongside opportunities to learn and apply their skills in the real world.

As an Employability Assistant at University of Law, you will:

  • Deliver a high-quality, professional service to students, staff and clients

  • Responding to student queries, meeting and greeting prospective students, supporting the launch and running of the mentoring scheme and organisation of careers events and workshops

  • Maintaining records of student attendance, managing the appointments system, and keeping abreast with emails and reports

  • Responsible for all administrative work relating to the legal advice clinics (LAC)

  • Represent the University at Open Days and external events

    A levels, level 3 qualification or equivalent including Maths and English

  • Experience within an administrative role, responding to customer queries both face to face and on the telephone

  • A natural problem solver

  • Ability to plan and prioritise workloads

  • Meticulous attention to detail
