Full Job Description

We have an exciting role for x2 Employee Relations Advisors to join us on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract! This role is a critical first point of contact for advice to Managers and Stakeholders in Case Management related activities. You'll provide timely professional advice and support on policy for which the ER team is accountable (Disciplinary, Code of Ethics, Grievance, Performance Improvement, Discrimination Bullying & Harassment (DBH), Drugs and Alcohol and Sickness Absence.) Ensuring robust Investigations are completed by the business and that cases are progressed appropriately in a timely manner.What You'll Do

  • Proactively work with key stakeholders at all levels to deliver case management activities efficiently.
  • Advise and coach Managers on all ER Policies and escalate to as necessary. Guiding stakeholders and Investigating Managers through the investigation process whilst keeping people involved through regular communication.
  • Confidently challenge our ways of working, to influence and encourage change.
  • Distil case related matters received from stakeholders to determine appropriate course of action and advise accordingly; be able to identify any complexities / risks that might warrant more careful advice and /or referral to more experienced member of case management team.
  • Provide necessary support and guidance around good practice and process / policy requirements to enable fair and reasonable approaches to be taken / decisions to be made.
  • Monitoring investigation timelines to ensure cases are closed within timescales, taking appropriate action to escalate / seek further advice.
  • Work with stakeholders to source and secure Investigation managers and support as notetaker as required.
  • Using and improving systems and processes to clearly track casework, timescales and reporting trend data to the business.
  • Co-ordinate/facilitate ER Case Management training to build knowledge and expertise and network with key contacts.

    You'll have worked in a high volume casework environment using exceptional organisation skills.
  • You'll be known as a subject matter expert on all types of casework
  • Experience of working with trade unions
  • Skilled at simplifying complex situations, using data to drive decisions

  • This role is a Hybrid role and can be based at any of our Electricity Distribution Offices across the East and West Midlands, South Wales or the South West of England. We envisage you will spend up to 2 days in the office and travel between sites will be necessary.
