Full Time, Permanent - Professional Ser PLEASE NOTE: This is an internal advert and is open to current Oxford Brookes University staff only. This is a full-time permanent position based at Headington campus with the ability to undertake remote working 3 days/week. Oxford Brookes Business School is looking for a talented colleague to join the Work and Voluntary Experience Services (WAVES) team. This position is an important role as it will be developing and maintaining effective partnerships with employers and placement providers and delivering initiatives designed to enhance the employability of our students. As part of the role you will be expected to:

  • Establish a framework for employer engagement;
  • Create implementation plans in order to improve placement, internship and work based-learning opportunities;
  • Engage with employers and develop strategies to encourage them to increase placements and work-based learning opportunities, including advising on recruitment campaigns targeting Business School students;
  • Work with Business School staff, the Careers Service, and other university stakeholders to develop initiatives targeting particular disciplines to promote and encourage engagement with employer events and opportunities for work experience, internships and placement opportunities.

    The successful candidate will have proven experience of working in a role with a focus on employer engagement, business development and/or relationship management in a corporate or higher education setting. This is a varied role and experience in managing a number of functions with competing demands on time is vital, in addition to understanding recruitment principles and processes you will have experience of project management, and overseeing initiatives from concept to delivery. Excellent communication and relational skills are essential.
