Full Job Description

This exciting role plays a critical part in ensuring the success of a wide range of interventions to support employment and skills pathways for local residents. You will be working with a variety of stakeholders including young people, high priority young people (for example care leavers), local employers, training providers, council departments and key partners such as DWP and Wigan & Leigh College.

You will play an integral role in the success of our Future Apprentices for Business (FAB) grants programme, taking a lead on the FAB talent pool, as well as supporting and coordinating other programmes that are designed to achieve employment outcomes for residents., We are signed up to the Greater Manchester Continuous Service Commitment ensuring that your service will be continuous or 'unbroken' between the supporting organisations.

We are looking for a well organised, caring and enthusiastic individual that has the confidence and skills to make this exciting role a success. You must be highly motivated, innovative and committed to changing the lives of local people. You will be able to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills across a range of stakeholders, building rapport and positive working relationships as you go.

You will need to have good project management skills, be flexible in your approach to work and motivated to work independently to achieve positive outcomes.

You will demonstrate the Be Wigan behaviours of positivity, accountability, courageousness and kindness.
