We have an exciting opportunity for a Enablement Support Worker with one of the country's biggest and most diverse Local Authorities. Whether you are looking to start a career or develop an existing one in Health and Social Care then this is a job for you!

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the KEaH Enablement Team. With an office based at Worrall House, Kings Hill and an expectation to deliver in Maidstone and Malling.

The Kent Enablement at Home service is one of the leaders in its field. With excellent work benefits and one of the most comprehensive training programmes we believe in investing in both our staff as well as the residents of Kent.

Enablement is all about taking an individual on a journey to independence or reducing the long-term care needs. This would be though planned support with aspects of daily living including personal care, whilst working for and alongside a structured team to include the Enablement Locality Organiser, Enablement Supervisors, Social Workers, Occupational Therapist and various multi agency partners in KCC and health.

· Basic knowledge and understanding of computer-based systems

· Willingness to learn and a proactive approach to their own development, This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

The ability to travel across a wide geographical area in a timely and flexible manner at various times of the day (during shift hours) is essential. You should note that public transport is rarely a viable option as some rural areas of Kent often have limited public transport.
