Full Job Description

To provide an efficient and effective admissions service to all patients attending the department and adhering to all policies and procedures applicable to the service.

To be responsible for booking patient appointments within the Endoscopy Department in a way that minimises waiting times and meets cancer, diagnostic and 18 week National targets.

There is a planned move for this service anticipated during 2025, when thisrole and base of work will relocate to Poole site. Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the postholder's home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.

Responsible for booking all referrals on to eCAMIS within 48 hours of arrival in the office

Book appointments in a timely fashion using the Endoscopy booking system (HICSS)and using own judgement to allocate to correct Endoscopy list

Send out appointment letters ensuring correct insertions and bowel prep are enclosed

Create and transfer all e-notes through the use of CRT procedure

Ensure all lists are filled to capacity and liaise with the Endoscopy Supervisor so that any problems or queries are highlighted

An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Endoscopy Admissions team at both Poole and Bournemouth and Wimborne Hospital.

Applicants must have excellent communication and administration skills and experience of working in an office/NHS setting would be ideal.

We have 1 Full time (37.5) and 1 Part time (30 hours) available. The role would be to work across Poole, Bournemouth and Wimborne Hospitals. Working hours are between 7.30am - 6pm, Monday - Saturday both on a rota basis.
