Full Job Description

To be the first point of contact for patients, GP's, Consultants, Nursing staff External Agencies, and the multidisciplinary team in regard to any procedure appointment, and enquiry.

To support the Patient Access Manager in the accurate maintenance of the Endoscopy waiting list.

Staff member accountable to:
1. Operational Manager for Gastroenterology/Endoscopy
2. Patient Access Manager, An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the administrative team in the Endoscopy Booking Office. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated individual to work alongside the current booking team to assist in maintaining a high standard of care in a busy operational service environment.

This position will be ideal for a passionate team player dedicated to providing the highest level of service expected within this unit.

Working in collaboration with both administrative and clinical staff, the post holder will work towards achieving an accurate and detailed knowledge of the department. Duties include liaising with Nurses and Consultants, booking urgent and routine procedures in accordance with our key performance targets; the ability to provide and receive information which may be complex, sensitive or contentious in nature; and the ability to engage in the day to day problems that arise within the unit.

The ideal candidate will work well within a team and be considerate and flexible to cater to the department's needs. The post holder will be self- motivated and focused to achieve the targets set within the unit.
