Full Job Description

An Exciting opportunity has become available for a 12 month secondment into an Endoscopy clinical educator (CE) role at St Thomas' hospital.

The job will involve working clinically with staff to assist them in gaining their required competencies. Induction of new staff, training on endoscopy equipment and consumables, and organising monthly audit days and external training

The ideal candidate will have several years experience of working in Endoscopy and assisting in advanced endoscopy procedures such as POEM and EMR., Working clinically alongside all staff within the unit to ensure a competent workforce.

Be able to achieve high standards of clinical knowledge and skills.

Coach and mentor staff to achieve their full potential and career development.

Maintaining an up to date data base of all staff competencies.

Arranging and providing training sessions to improve patient safety and experience when adverse events have occurred.

Liaising with external companies to arrange bespoke training sessions.
