Full Job Description

The role of the Endoscopy Admin Co-ordinator is to supervise a team of endoscopy administrators including booking clerks and receptionists across two sites working closely with the Nurse Team Managers and supporting senior management in providing a quality Endoscopy service ensuring capacity is fully utilised and patients are booked timely and appropriately within Trust guidelines whilst maintaining waiting lists in line with Government targets.
The successful candidate must be flexible with good communication skills and the ability to recognise & respond to situations appropriately. They will ideally have a proven track record within an NHS Booking environment and be able to demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills within an office setting and of working to & actively participate in the ongoing development of administrative process's and procedures.
This position is across site and the post holder will need to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the service, They will be expected to spend a proportional part of the working week at Worthing and SRH respectively and deputise for the Admin Services Manager in their absence., To provide a leadership role within the Endoscopy Administration Team; day-to-day clerical support to facilitate the smooth running of the Endoscopy admissions services on a day-to-day basis using both own initiative as well as direction from supervision of senior colleagues. The Endoscopy Admin Co-ordinator role is key in supporting the Endoscopy Administrative Services Manager in delivery of a quality Endoscopy administrative & booking service and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the existing multi-disciplinary team., We have an exciting opportunity within our St Richards Endoscopy and Gastroenterology booking team for a team leader/ coordinator. The successful candidate will need to be dynamic, willing to work in an environment with varying demands and pressures. We are looking for a candidate who has proven experience practically managing a team as well as experience in waiting list management.
