Endoscopy Lead

We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual to provide strong visible leadership to deliver the highest standards of professional care to patients and to make a positive contribution towards the teams pursuit of excellence. You will be a strong role model, leading and coordinating the endoscopy service and decontamination. We are part of the Community Diagnostic Centre for the region and are growing our wide-ranging endoscopy service with plans for a second endoscopy suite in partnership with the RUH trust hospital. We undertake diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy investigations such as Colonoscopy, Gastroscopy, Polypectomy, Cystoscopy and TOE. You will be responsible and accountable for the daily management of the endo and decontamination suite, managing a wide range of complex and conflicting priorities, including staff management. You will ensure the JAG accreditation standards are met, British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) guidance, and the National and Local decontamination guidance is followed. You will perform the tasks of preassessment and endoscopy assistant during procedures (sedation and GA), when required, in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for the professional development of the endoscopy team and overall work performance.
