Full Job Description

Support the Endoscopy Supervisor, Unit Manager and Clinical Lead by providing an efficient and effective administrative/patient service ensuring the smooth running of the department.
Support the Clinical team, Endoscopy Supervisor, Unit Manager, and other divisional Managers in ensuring the speciality are able to deliver safe and effective services whilst also ensuring compliance with contractual access targets e.g., 18-week referral to treatment target, 62 day standard cancer target and DM01 national target.
To provide cover with other Endoscopy Officers to ensure a consistent and effective administration service is always maintained.
Work as part of the Endoscopy Team providing a professional, efficient administrative service to support the team lead. Ensuring data for patient's pathway is validated throughout the journey and data entered/amended into Lorenzo and local databases as required. Responsible for training junior admin staff.
Endoscopy Officer is expected to work under own initiative, provide and receive complex information ensuring agreement and co-operation from staff in the Directorate and prioritising own workload., + Ensure a comprehensive and efficient waiting list administration service is provided with prescribed timetables to meet national waiting time targets
+ Ensuring booking of lists for the clinical team is correct and accurate.
+ Any lists that have been cancelled in the future to inform supervisor and manager. To pull patients paperwork, if able to move patients to other lists
+ To ensure daily tasks are completed
+ Liaising and organizing with clinical team regarding patients requiring pre-assessment, equipment and prescriptions for patients.
+ Liaising with senior management team, secretaries, consultants, nursing, STT team, CNS, GP's.
+ Set up capsule endoscopy clinics on Lorenzo, add relevant patients and send out relevant paperwork and bowel preparation. Add to other database systems.
+ Planned surveillance ensure is organized into month that the test is required.
+ When instructed by Endoscopy supervisor of cancellation of lists or additional to book appropriately.
+ Achievement of agreed KPI's
+ Set up, review, and adjust admissions list in liaison with appropriate clinicians/management to ensure they meet the demands and expectations of patients.
+ To adjust/amended patients clock and/or RTT status to ensure patient is sitting on the correct pathway.
+ Any other job or task the management may ask of you.
