Full Job Description

The Pathway Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to join our administration team which provides first class administration and reception services to the Division. As part of our Patient Pathway team, you will be responsible for creating, tracking and updating clinic letters for both Outpatient and Inpatients within GI Medicine. The post holder will also cover reception duties for GI Physiology.

Successful candidates will have previous administration experience and either experience of working in an NHS organisation or a desire to work within a healthcare organisation. They will be able to communicate with a range of patients and colleagues and possess excellent team working, negotiation and organisation skills. Above all they will be committed to helping us deliver excellent patient care.

The Division is responsible for a 50 bedded ward, Endoscopy Unit and a GI Physiology Unit. We see around 700 patients in out-patient clinics and perform around 300 inpatient procedures per week.
