Full Job Description

We are delighted to share we have a vacancy for band 3 endoscopy support assistant to join the endoscopy team at Bishop Auckland Hospital .

Within endoscopy no two days are the same, we are looking to recruit highly motivated, dynamic, forward thinking individual , to help provide a safe high quality service to patients trust wide.

The endoscopy service provides a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for both inpatients and outpatients carried out within our 4 procedure rooms. The role will consist of supporting clinical staff alongside housekeeping duties, stock check and ordering ,coordinating flow of patients to and from the department , this role is diverse and you will have both clinical and clerical duties within youir remit

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work flexibly with the Endoscopy team and will be based on

one of the main hospital sites, although may be required to attend other sites

across the Trust.

Key working relationships with nursing staff, endoscopists and wider

Endoscopy team

you will be involved in clinical duties under supervison in a supportive manner and housekeeping stock control ordering and stock check along with some clerical duties which will consist of being familiar with epr , coordinating patients from and to the department to other deparments and wards ,collecting data for the departments audit .

You must be able to produce ALL certificates stated essential in the person specification or you will not be able to complete pre-employment checks

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
