Full Job Description

Be in the top 25% for key performance measures, To undertake various clerical duties associated with the custody and use of Health Records. This to include all administrative procedures and documentation associated with a patient's admission and/or attendance to the Trust, as outlined in the Patient Access Policy.
It is expected that staff will undertake duties relating to any aspect of service provided by the Health Records Team and at any of the Departments in The Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust.
It is expected that staff will be able to demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organising their workload and in taking decisions and action within clearly defined limits.

The Trust is a supportive working environment committed to creating flexible working arrangements that suit your needs and as such will consider all requests from applicants who wish to work flexibly., To prepare case notes for all attendances ensuring they comply with the Standard Order of Case Notes, and to ensure X-ray and investigation reports relevant to each attendance are available.
2. To accurately in-put, up-date and monitor patient related information onto the computerised Patient Administration System.
3. To be responsible for the security of case notes in the department.
4. To ensure the timely delivery of prepared clinics to the appropriate Out-Patients
Departments.
5. To work closely with Medical Secretarial staff, to ensure the development of an efficient team to effectively support the Directorate.
6. To arrange transport for patients as required.
7. To amalgamate case notes where more than one record exists and to ensure that all
casenotes are filed in the recognised format.
8. To take action as necessary, to book, cancel, change or expedite appointments on the Patient Administration System.
9. To be responsible for the timely processing of all incoming and outgoing mail, Qualifications - Please be advised that if the post that you are applying for requires any level of qualification (e.g. A-Levels, Degree etc) or Professional Registration (e.g. Nursing and Midwifery Council, General Medical Council etc) you will be required to provide proof as part of the pre-employment process.
