Full Job Description

This position supports the UK's energy procurement strategy by sourcing energy for high-consumption sites within the framework of the global energy risk policy. You will manage regulatory issues related to energy consumption in the UK, ensuring compliance and competitiveness.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will collaborate with global energy teams to represent the UK. You will support the selection of supply sources, approve purchase orders, and manage invoices, cost projections, and budgets. Planning and overseeing purchasing activities will be a key part of your responsibilities.

Additionally, you will provide UK-specific insights for hedging decisions and represent the company in UK regulatory forums. Aligning Essity's position with association stances on energy issues and contributing to the Public Affairs Team on energy matters will also be essential.

You will participate in the energy regulatory affairs network, stay updated on UK regulations, and adapt strategies accordingly. Understanding market forces, cost trends, and regulatory requirements will be crucial, as will initiating and managing energy sourcing projects.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and project management skills, with previous experience in the paper industry or energy sector. Strong negotiation abilities and a customer-focused approach are essential. You should possess financial acumen and hold a university degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. Extensive experience in a leadership role and the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships are also required.
