Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity in our Highways & Transport Traffic Enforcement Team for an Enforcement Investigation Officer. We are looking for a highly motivated, efficient, enthusiastic and flexible individual who has proven experience of working in the field of parking, bus lane and moving traffic enforcement.

The workload will be extremely varied and will require you to be flexible and use your own initiative to meet the demands of the role.

You will have strong interpersonal and proven customer service skills and are required to deal with challenging situations in a tactful and diplomatic way. In addition, you should possess and be expected to have the following:

  • Experience of dealing with the public

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage the workload within statutory timeframes and to a high standard of customer service

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally when dealing with members of the public (written and verbal)

  • Ability and proven experience of working under pressure and using own initiative

  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office

  • Work as part of a team


  • The role will have some flexibility but you will be required to come into the office on a regular basis., We are looking for someone who can work to tight deadlines, under pressure, and who is friendly, reliable, willing and ready to learn new things.

    Applicants will need to be comfortable working as part of a team, be able to demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills, along with a commitment to continuous improvement. You will need a good level of IT skills and have a good attention to detail.
