Full Job Description

Exciting opportunities have arisen within Children's Services newly established Engagement Service, (a newly formed service area within Inclusion Support Services (ISS)). The Engagement Service will support schools and settings to develop and deliver alternative timetables and curriculum activities focused on working directly with children and young people who have become disengaged from education and learning.

The four (4) subgroups within the Engagement team will consist of a number of staff who have skills and experience in delivering either Nurture, Positive Play or Outdoor Education, in a truly multi-disciplinary environment. This unique opportunity will give the post holder a genuine chance to make a positive difference to the lives of some of Derbyshire's most vulnerable learners.
We are now looking to recruit six outdoor education / development instructors who have a the relevant NGB qualifications and a strong background and experience of working within an educational setting. Our instructor's work will range from supporting outdoor education opportunities in school grounds, to taking groups of young people into wild places in Derbyshire for some hands-on adventure!
