An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join the Highway Asset Maintenance Team as a Bridges Routine Maintenance Engineer.
The team are currently delivering an increased capital funding allocation for structural maintenance of its highway assets.
Supporting the Senior Engineer you will be key to delivering professional and customer focused Bridge and Highway Structure maintenance schemes across the City, undertaking general and principal bridge inspections, structural condition surveys and assessments, asset inventory, feasibility studies, structural analysis, priority ranking, design briefs, engineering designs, specifications, and the tendering, procurement, supervision and financial control of projects and associated asset management activities to facilitate operational service delivery requirements., In return for your hard work and dedication, we can offer you the chance to be part of a great team dedicated to ensuring that all people in Doncaster thrive. We are looking for a hardworking and conscientious person with well-developed engagement and communication skills across varying audiences both internally and externally to work in a busy environment, providing an essential and valuable service to our customers, who can build effective relationships with customers and relevant partners.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working within an operational Highways Structures environment, have technical knowledge in relation to bridges & other highway structures behaviour, knowledge, skills and experience in the provision of bridge maintenance management and inspection arrangements and in structures schemes through feasibility, funding, design and construction stages, providing planned and reactive maintenance services, be well-organised, flexible, and have good communication skills.
