Full Job Description

We are looking for an Engineer to effectively and professionally plan, manage, coordinate and monitor the Engineering aspects of sub-contract packages associated with the construction works including demolition, reinforced concrete, excavation, drainage and structural steelwork to assist with the successful delivery of a commercial mixed use development in Central London Our Building team brings its design, build and refurbishment expertise to complex projects across the country. You'll:

  • Manage the site engineering activities in accordance with Skanska's Environmental, Health, Safety and quality procedures
  • Assist the Senior Engineer in ensuring all aspects of project compliance.
  • Contribute to development of a good working relationship with the Client's team, consultants, sub-contractors and external parties to ensure the successful execution of all project specific engineering matters
  • Ensure all project specifications, quality requirements and industry good practices are adhered to
  • Carrying out all project specific Quality Assurance related inspections and checks
  • Management of all temporary works activities e.g. ensuring design compliance, RAMS, installation, inspections, loading and unloading
  • Ensure main dimensional control is established and maintained
  • Carrying out and reviewing as-built surveys
  • Reviewing structural ITP's
  • Managing the NCR procedure, when required

    Minimum BTEC HNC/HND or BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience on projects of equivalent complexity
  • Quality management skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • An ability to work on own initiative
  • An ability to adapt to change.
  • An ability to work as part of a large team on complex projects.
  • Management of health & safety
