Engineering BoM Lead

Reporting to the Design Office Data Manager, you will be responsible for working with the Company's Design, Engineering and Technical Procurement functions to ensure the BoM data is accurate with regards to part specification, source codes, weight, quantity, and all other attributes.

What you will do:

• Extracting the vehicle BoM for GMT projects from 3DX when required and send it or upload it to the Smartsheet for project ETRS reports and status.


• Carrying out a BoM correctness exercise before each gateway and whenever there is a massive incorrectness in the data.


• Creating documentation on the BoM processes if not available.


• Feeding all the data from the EBoM to different areas - MBoM, ERP system, Smartsheet, Mass and Cost tracker on a regular basis and assist the ERP team in keeping the data updated.


• Utilizing Product specifications to develop an initial BoM to support concept cost and timing.


• Check the part list on a regular basis and release the BoM in 3DX during the BoM freeze.


• Liaise with 3DX, Smartsheet team, and function groups to keep the system and tracker updated.


• Managing the Standard parts catalogue and liaise with the suppliers.


• Support the development and implementation of a PLM and ERP Systems
  
  Excellent Engineering BoM Experience in the relevant automotive industry.


• Solid understanding of design standards, material standards and engineering drawing standards.


• A good working knowledge of whole vehicle design is essential.


• PLM Data management experience is a must.


• Knowledge of 3D Experience (PLM) systems


• Proven success in applying design standards in automotive or other applicable industries. Relevant experience in BoM Management and document management.
