As our Sr. Director of Performance & Productivity Engineering you will lead the global multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for maintaining the range of legacy CPI products. This includes development of product enhancements and feature expansion, support of supply chain changes, and designs that drive cost savings. Critical to the success will be prioritization and capacity-based management to ensure effectiveness utilizing standard operating procedures and KPI metrics and dashboard. This role will be both a leader and technologist. Success in this role requires working collaboratively with the different functional leaders across the business along with senior leadership to successfully deliver profitable growth to the business and meet the needs of our customers., The Sr. Director of Performance & Productivity Engineering will have a direct impact on the business, responsible for:

  • Responsible for implementing common methodologies and tools across the global team and ensuring capacity-based planning to drive efficiencies across all projects
  • Work with the VPGMs and/or Product Managers to set priorities and manage incoming requests to ensure they drive value, direct or indirect. Provide monthly KPIs metrics to ensure transparency and communication of status
  • Work with team leaders to plan and manage multiple simultaneous projects ad to identify methods for increasing product knowledge across multiple team members to increase flexibility
  • Providing leadership and managing the career development of direct reports, including hardware engineers & discipline engineering managers. Coaching and mentoring the managers on the development of their teams
  • Ensuring the safe and effective operation of the CPI model shops and development labs managed by this team
  • Establish KPIs and continuously refine processes to improve quality and efficiency

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in product design
  • Previous supervisory experience is required to lead a team of 5-6 direct reports
  • Results driven, collaborative, flexible, deep thinker with solid problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated business acumen applicable to global electronics company including an understanding of the Product Devlopment life-cycle process
  • A proven change agent with strong managerial courage
  • Cross cultural and organizational agility, including strong team building skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to various cross-functional audiences
  • Six Sigma Green Belt -- Black Belt is a plus
  • Ability to travel both domestic and internationally 30-40%
