+ Leading and managingengineering staff or businesspartnerships Ensuring developed solutionsare clearly defined, integrated, configured, controlled anddelivered, including resolution of conflicts and integration issuesthat occur through development and deliveryphases Performing appropriateengineering planning, managing and reviewing activities to ensureProducts are integrated, safe, fully compliant and delivered withinagreed requirements for cost, quality, time andschedule Ensuring capability andskills development, performance optimisation and maximisation andefficient use of engineering and functionalresources Assuring the maturity of thedeveloped solutions is appropriate for the specific requirement andthat all technical risks and opportunities arecaptured Ensuring all engineeringactivities are undertaken in line with the Operational Frameworkand that compliance with all engineering policies ismaintained
Your skillsand experiences:
Essential
+ Experience of providing agile technical support to abusy build environment, identifying solutions to enable build withthe design and engineering of complex steelstructures Experience of design ofJigs, lifting and handling equipment, LOLER,transportation
+ Experience of peoplemanagement Recognised Engineering Degree(or equivalent) in relevant STEMsubject
Desirable
+ Evidence of technical leadership including checking andrelease of designsolutions

The Specialist StructuresEngineering team: The SpecialistStructures Engineering Department is responsible for the design ofSteel Structures and associated lifting, handling andtransportation in support of the Submarine build. You will beworking with internal and external stakeholders as well as workingwithin engineering function, build and operations. Within this roleyou will have an opportunity to see the Submarine and furtherdevelop your niche skills, contributing to the national endeavourdelivering a major milestone, with some great developmentopportunities for career progression. We offer relocation supportpackages across all Submarines roles, subject to
