Full Job Description

Shoreham Port operates 24/7 365 days of the year within an intriguing and complex engineering environment. The job of the Engineering Team is to keep Shoreham Port operational which includes maintaining our critical infrastructure. No two days are the same; you could be maintaining one of our 160 commercial units and the next day you could be involved in exciting development and improvement projects.,

  • Assist the Engineering Team with all aspects of planned & reactive maintenance whilst following the Port's Health & Safety policies

  • Duties may include:

  • + Mechanical; welding, maintenance associated with hydraulic equipment and lock gates, pumps & sluices
    + Plumbing; fixing leaks, installing taps and sanitary ware as well as bigger supplies
    + Building; excavation, brickwork, fencing
    + Carpentry; fendering, installing windows, kitchen fitting and basic formwork
  • Act as an Ambassador for the Engineering Team when working across our Port estate

  • Salary: up to £28,327 per annum dependent on experience

  • Hours: generally 40 hours, weekdays with flexibility options
