Are you a dynamic and experienced Engineering Project Manager looking to make a significant impact? Join our team at Cranswick Convenience Foods in Milton Keynes! You will be responsible for the effective scoping, management, and delivery of site projects within approved budgets and agreed timescales. Collaborate closely with Operations Managers, Engineering Department Managers, and the Chief Engineer to coordinate engineering activities and meet project milestones.,

  • Health & Safety: Ensure all activities comply with company and legislative health and safety guidelines, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and compliance.
  • Food Safety: Ensure all projects are delivered to the highest levels of food safety and integrity.
  • Best Practices: Lead and share best practices for cradle-to-grave project methodology.
  • Cost & Time Estimates: Provide forecasted costs, timescales, and resource requirements for project tasks to support Capital budgets and Capex requests.
  • Technical Support: Offer engineering and technical support to achieve operational and project objectives.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders in support of projects.
  • Contractor Management: Control and manage contractors employed on-site, ensuring legislative compliance.
  • Risk Assessment: Assess project tasks for potential impact on company procedures and identify actions to minimize risk.
  • Commissioning & Handover: Organize activities for equipment commissioning and handover, including training, spares, and certification.
  • Infrastructure Updates: Ensure site infrastructure details are updated, including electrical distribution and pipework runs.
  • Early Equipment Care: Prepare projects for a clearly defined handover and early equipment care by the operational team.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform any other tasks as reasonably requested by the line manager.

    Proven experience in delivering large-scale Capital Expenditure projects on time and within budget.
  • Project management qualification (e.g., PRINCE).
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent experience) in an Engineering qualification is advantageous.
  • Experience working for a PLC business is desirable., Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
