Full Job Description

The role of Electrical Changeover Technician at the Wrexham Plant is to lead height changes over and provide support to the Engineering and Continuous Improvement department.,

  • Key areas of responsibility will surround the maintenance, overhaul and general up-keep of Plant and Production equipment. The position will report to the Height Change Team Leader

  • Develop safe working practices for routine and non-routine tasks

  • Identify and rectify process performance issues

  • Lead Continious Improvement activities relating to Change Overs ie: SMED

  • Work with data to highlight priority areas of focus

  • Daily routine checks for Plant and Production equipment

  • Continious monitoring of equipment condition

  • Carry out routine planned overhauls

  • Carry out planned maintenance and ad-hoc maintenance such as on conversion days

  • Carry out mechanical improvements in the process

  • Support trials and new equipment installation and commissioning

  • Spare parts monitoring

  • 1:1 and group training and support of personnel

  • Shift support when required

  • Housekeeping

  • FLT driving when required

  • Debugging of Change Overs

  • Spoilage reduction projects

    Time served apprentice level or equivalent in Engineering practices

  • Electrical HND is required

  • MS Office competent

  • Experience of working in a fast speed, high volume manufacturing environment

  • A flexible approach to work content-in-line with day to day requirements

  • A willingness to extend your range of required skills is essential

  • Evidence of self-motivation, an ability to use your own initiative and to accept a level of responsibility

    Salary - £57,586.45 (including shift allowance)
