Full Job Description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team as an Engineering Technician with
100th Civil Engineering Squadron, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom.

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure optimal resource decisions are made and executed across civil engineer
activities and ensure data and information from all shops are applied to the applicable Asset Management Plan (AMP) and
other investment and execution plans. Utilizing proactive data and information from Sustainment Management Systems to
conduct performance analysis, risk-based sustainment decision making, resource optimization, and life-cycle requirement
planning. Additional this role will serve as an interface with customers to collect and validate user requirements. Perform
Preventative Maintenance analysis and planning, corrective maintenance analysis and planning; and provide support to the
Engineering Flight (CEN) on cradle-to-grave project execution within a Civil Engineer Squadron on a military installation.

The successful applicant will manage and execute Asset Management Plans (AMP) and/or sub-Asset Management Plan (sub-
AMP) for the entire installation. You will also integrate and synchronize Operations Flight work force for Sustainment
Management Systems (SMS) data standards, collection, and analysis. You will also manage Preventative Maintenance (PM)
program in the appropriate IT system (NexGen/IT/ACES-WIMS) whilst integrating and synchronizing the Operations Flight
contract project development, review, construction and integration, and warranty management pertaining to respective
portfolios.

  • Knowledge of AFIs, practices and procedures pertaining to Civil Engineering operations and ability to research,

  • analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations and procedures in a variety of situations, and recommend timely and
    economical solutions.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management and Sustainment Management Systems, system capabilities,

  • economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned functions, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel,
    Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to manipulate data use macros and formulae, pivot tables and charts, perform data
    analysis, and build effective presentations.
  • Knowledge of program planning and budgeting cycles, financial control, and budget systems; work classifications and

  • the regulatory and statutory restrictions on the expenditures and appropriated and non-appropriated funds; automated
    data processing system capabilities; real property management; and economic usage to effectively accomplish assigned
    functions.
  • Knowledge of analytical and diagnostic methods, procedures, and principles, and surveying methods, equipment and

  • techniques of measurements to identify project requirements.

  • The Local National Direct Hire (LNDH) Program does not participate in regular drug testing; however this role may be

  • subject to testing upon reasonable suspicion of substance abuse, and safety mishap or accident testing.
  • The work may require the employe to drive a motor vehicle. Must be able to provide a UK category B driving license.

  • May act as project liaison between the Army Corps of Engineers and other designated agencies.

  • May be required to serve on selection boards or construction contract source selection boards.

  • May be required to serve as a member of the contingency recovery team during exercises and during real world

  • contingencies.
  • Must have successfully completed a bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of engineering.
