Engineering Technician - Greenford, London, Ensure efficient and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment per manufacturer guidelines and the PPM system. Continuous Improvement focus directed by the Engineering Manager and CI Manager. Minimize downtime and disturbances to optimize productivity and costs. Accurately log completed jobs in the bespoke system. Participate in in-house training. What the day job looks like: In this full-time role as an Enginbeering Technician, working alongside the Engineering team, you will be responsible for:

  • Achieve all KPIs and annual goals set, including objectives
  • Working to develop the performance and understanding of Junior Engineers
  • Contributing to engineering shift responsibilities
  • Working alongside Engineering and Conituous Inprovement Managers to drive a GOLD standard operation, sind Six Sigma, 5 S's, LEAN principles
  • Duty building closure
  • This role will suit you if

  • You have strong communication skills and experience in maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment, with a solid understanding of pneumatics.
  • You are experienced in Engineering within the Manufacturing FMCG sector, particularly in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • You are computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office, and you are committed to ongoing training and development.
  • You can work independently, manage your time effectively, and demonstrate resilience in carrying out tasks.
  • You have experience in CI practice - associated accreditations will be a bonus!
  • This role may not be for you if:
  • You prefer working without the need for strict adherence to company procedures and policies, including Health & Safety and Food Safety protocols.
  • You are uncomfortable with a hands-on approach or working independently when required.
  • You struggle with time management, reliability, punctuality, or working effectively as part of a team.
