Engineering Technician

Applications are invited for the position of Engineering Technician to work within a small, busy team, based at the Council Offices at Wingerworth.
Working closely alongside the council's Facilities and Estates teams and Rykneld Homes, the post will involve a very varied workload including:
+ Assisting in the design, administration and supervision of works of engineering construction from initial design through to final account under the direction of the Senior Engineers.
+ Use of AutoCAD to draft plans and technical drawings
+ Inspecting the council's infrastructure assets, including watercourses, footways, roads and garage sites
+ Diversions and extinguishments of Public Rights of Way
+ Helping to devise and carry out maintenance programmes
+ Assisting in the management of Demolition schemes
+ Providing specialist drainage and flood management advice
