Full Job Description
As an Engineering Technologies Support Engineer, you will be responsible for the implementation of innovative data and analytics solutions to optimise our engineering operations. You will also support the development of predictive maintenance and condition monitoring initiatives. You will :
- Work alongside the Engineering Technologies Engineer and other cross-functional teams to further expand use cases and proof of concept work.
- Support the implementation of digital solutions, harnessing data analytics and modelling to deliver insightful, value-driven outcomes.
- Be a part of our culture of continuous improvement through the analysis and identification of areas for improvement in our engineering processes and workflows to optimise operations, costs, and improve efficiency and reliability.
- Support the implementation of predictive maintenance and condition monitoring solutions that reduce aircraft downtime, improve reliability and safety, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with IT and Data teams to integrate digital solutions with existing systems and platforms to ensure seamless data exchange.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in all digitisation and optimisation initiatives.
- Support the training and support initiatives with teams on new tools, technologies, and processes to ensure successful adoption.
- Create reports and visualisations to articulate findings to wider business What are the key skills / experience you'll already have? We are looking for someone who is passionate about innovation, engineering data and insight driven optimisation.
- Be an excellent communicator, able to engage effectively with all levels across the business
- Be Highly numerate and analytical; with a keen interest in data
- Have meticulous attention to detail
- Have a high level of critical and creative thinking for problem solving
- Be dedicated, self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work at pace with a strong focus on delivery and benefit realisation
- Have strong organisational skills and be self-disciplined
- Be knowledgeable of data analytics technologies, adaptable and willing to learn new skills as we are in a new era within Aerospace Engineering, as new technologies enable a new approach to traditional monitoring, analytics and decision making
- Be proficient in data analysis, data modelling, with experience in Python, PySpark, SQL, and R.
- Experience with Palantir Foundry or Skywise
- Knowledge of Airline Engineering Operations and Teams
- Be educated to degree level, ideally in an Aerospace related field
