Our 'Good School' (OFSTED, September 2021) is looking to recruit an energetic and enthusiastic English Teaching Assistant who is passionate about their subject and inspirational to their students. This is an exciting time in the journey of our school; and as such we are seeking to appoint the right candidate to enable us to move forwards in our next chapter.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team and support our students in their language, literature and literacy development. About the Role:

As a graduate Teaching Assistant, you will support the English teaching department, provide one-to-one support and help students develop essential skills so that they can succeed academically and thrive

Qualifications/personal specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in English Language or English Literature.

  • Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is not an expectation, but may be an advantage.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Enthusiasm for teaching and a passion for helping students succeed.

  • Sensitivity, compassion and understanding.

  • Active listening skills.

  • Flexibility / the ability to deal with adapt.

  • Patience and the ability to remain calm.

  • Proficiency in ICT.
