Full Job Description

Roehampton Gate School are looking to recruit an outstanding English Teacher to join our Teaching team! We are looking for an ambitious, energetic and committed teacher who will expand the learning experiences of our pupils. The successful candidate will be teaching and supporting our young people who may have autism, emotional behavioural difficulties, ADHD and associated complex needs.

    Roehampton Gate School (RGS) is a school for young people aged 9 -19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger's Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. Located in Roehampton, SW London, we aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment.

    Main responsibilities:
  • To carry professional duties covered by the latest School Teachers Pay and Conditions document. The post holder will be expected to undertake duties in line with the professional standards for qualified teachers and uphold the professional code of the General Teaching Council for England.

  • Teach a class of pupils and ensure planning, preparation, recording, assessment, and reporting meet their varying learning and social needs.

  • Maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom

  • Provide timely and accurate reports to all stakeholders including SLT, Governors (as required) and parent/carers.

  • Provide accurate assessments of learning and progress and matched against aspirational and appropriate targets.
