Full Job Description
With a new building to accommodate 600 students, the school is committed to continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment, supported by a strong vision and moral purpose. Feedback from staff is continuously requested, received and valued by senior leaders within the academy. Staff feel positively about support from leaders, their workloads and wellbeing. Alongside this the academy boasts a strong support network across departments through promoting staff to support and empower each other. This is the ideal environment for any individuals who are looking to join an academy that is on a positive transformation pathway. Our vision is to put students first in order to raise standards and transform lives. To make this happen, we innovate constantly, including a curriculum that is designed to enable personalised learning in depth and with breadth. We ensure that additional teaching time and resources are provided to support students to leave with a solid foundation of good and better grades. With a holistic view of education, we value vocational, practical, creative and academic talent equally and focus on building transferable skills that result in real-world success. We are also an 'enhanced mainstream school' providing an outstanding education for young people with physical and/or sensory needs. We aim to instil British Values: a passion for democratic participation, individual liberty, mutual respect, and difference and diversity, backed by a commitment to taking responsibility for one's own conduct and progress. By empowering students to take ownership of their learning, we can create tomorrow's leaders as well as responsible, caring and engaging citizens.
