Full Job Description
We are looking for a dynamic and creative English Teacher to join our vibrant English department. The successful candidate will teach English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level, focusing on fostering a love for language, literature, and creative expression. This role offers the opportunity to develop and deliver engaging, creative lessons that challenge students to think deeply, express themselves confidently, and develop their critical and creative skills.,
- Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level, encouraging creative thinking and academic excellence
- Create and deliver innovative lesson plans that foster students' creativity, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development
- Contribute to extracurricular activities, including drama productions, literary festivals, creative writing clubs, and other artistic endeavors
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning, and contribute to the creative ethos of the school
- Provide pastoral care, mentorship, and academic support to students, ensuring their overall development
A qualified teacher with a relevant degree in English or a related field - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent
- Experience teaching English Language and Literature at Key Stage 3, GCSE, and A Level
- A genuine passion for fostering creativity and encouraging students to explore the world of literature and language
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a creative approach to lesson planning
- The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
