Full Job Description
We are working alongside a secondary school based in West Sussex who are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join them in January 2025. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the educational development of students while working in a supportive, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English instruction to students, fostering a love of literature and language, and supporting academic growth., + Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across various year groups (specific grade levels may vary).
+ Plan, prepare, and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
+ Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and maintaining accurate records of performance.
+ Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for reading and writing.
+ Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular activities and support school-wide initiatives.
+ Prepare students for external examinations (e.g., GCSEs, A-Levels, etc.) where applicable.
+ Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
+ Must be a qualified teacher.
+ Experience: Previous experience teaching English in a school setting is highly desirable.
+ Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage and inspire students. Familiarity with the latest educational technologies and teaching methods is a plus.
+ Personal Attributes: Passionate about teaching and learning, highly organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student success.
+ Must be available for January 2025.
